The Independent
Book Publishers
Association is
calling for entries
for the 2008 20th
Annual Benjamin
Franklin Awards. This
competition features
over 50 categories
based in different
genres, as well as
book designs. The
deadline to enter is
December 31st,
2007,
and
5 books and an entry
fee of $80
per title per category
are required to
participate.

Hopewell
Publications, LLC,
offers its Eric Hoffer
Award for Independent
Books annually to
small press and self
published books.
Entries must have been
published in the last
two years, and a grand
prize of $1,500 is
offered. To
participate, you must
submit
1 copy of your book
and an entry fee of
$40.
The deadline to
participate in one of
the 11 categories is
January 15th.
